IT jobs in demand

Demand for skilled professionals is strong in emerging areas of IT as companies seek to address the requirements of ever evolving technologies such as Windows 7, cloud computing, .NET 4.0 and mobile application development. Requirements for certain IT positions may vary across industries and regions, but demand for the following IT professionals is strong across the board in New Zealand:

Business Intelligence Professionals: Firms need immediate information that can help them move their business in the right direction. That’s why they seek business intelligence candidates who can gather increasing amounts of data from various streams.

Business Analysts:  Many businesses refocused their efforts on business process improvement during 2011 and this has led to an increase in demand for these professionals. Managers rely on business analysts to serve as liaisons between technology and business.

Developers: Those skilled in .NET and Java and SharePoint are in demand.

IOS & Android Developers: An increasing number of organisations are looking for technology professionals with experience in e-commerce vehicles and, in particular, mobile products.  Developers with strong commercial experience are increasingly sought after.

Systems Administrators: Systems administrators with strong technical knowledge of systems procedures and familiarity with hardware and software are currently in high demand.
