My client is a NZ SME which is growing fast, operating in a unique industry specifically around the primary industry. The business requires people who are prepared to muck in & work in a team environment, have a sense of humour and are passionate people.
The role of Accounts Assistant will report to the Financial Controller and be part of a finance/admin team of 6. Your responsibilities will include:
- 50% full function accounts payable
- 50% ad hoc accounting duties
The accounts assistant duties will include:
- Calculating costs for basic job costing
- Accounts receivable payment allocations
- Reconciliations of the general ledger
- Fixed asset accounting
- General journals such as accruals and prepayments
- Helping prepare GST returns
The person can take on as much as they are capable of as this is an opportunity to muck in and grow with the business.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone that has worked in a stock based environment previously. You will have a full working knowledge of Accounts payable and have had some exposure to other accounts assistant duties. It is incredibly important you have a sense of humour, are practical, down to earth and will enjoy working in a smaller close knit team.
