My client is a commercially based organization that is relatively unique in the market place. The organization has a turnover around $87M but is relatively small in a headcount of 25. Based in the city, the organization has a flat structure where you will really make a difference in your role and be an integral part of the organization.
The role of Accounts clerk will be responsible for Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable as well as being the back up to the Assistant Accountant as required. You will be responsible for full function AP & AR so must have experience in both areas. In addition to this, you will help with fixed assets, weekly reconciliations and preparing recurring month end journals.
Additionally, you will be required to respond to queries of the Operations team as well as the branches who will have questions for you. The company is an ATE and is keen to bring on someone that can keep taking on more to develop their accounting skills.
To be considered for this role, you will have a thorough understanding of both Accounts Payable and Receivable but also show the ability to take on a bit more. Ideally we are looking for someone that wants to continue their studies so you will have a bachelors degree or be working through this. It is essential you have a high level of accuracy & eye for detail, have superb communication skills to liaise with the business and be someone keen to develop and grow within this small tight knit finance team. Exposure to a large ERP system is also advantageous.
