My client is a privately owned fast growing but established business that continues to go from strength to strength. With the owner at the helm, this business employs people who are passionate and love to take ownership of their role. This role has come about due to the incumbent leaving to live offshore for family reasons.
The role of Accounts payable will report directly to the Financial Controller who is a great manager and who is intent on building a great team. The Accounts payable role will be responsible for the entire Accounts payable process including payment runs, expense card management and working with project managers and site managers to ensure the costs are capture against projects.
As the Financial Controller is steadily working through improving processes to enable the business to grow, this person will be involved in the implementation of a new credit card expense management tool. This will mean you get to take an active part in educating users and streamlining this process.
Additionally you will work with the purchasing manager to educate users around the business on the purchase order process to enable a more streamlined Accounts payable process.
We are looking for a capable Accounts Payable officer who wants to take full ownership of their area. The company is big on hiring on attitude and will be looking for someone that wants to take ownership, continue with process improvement and enjoy working as part of a close knit team. The Finance Manager has all the knowledge so can train and help on any developmental areas. In terms of personality, we are looking for someone that has great communication skills, who enjoys interacting with the project and site managers to ensure the project costs are captured. You will need to have an outgoing personality and enjoy bringing a sense of humour to the team.
