The role of payroll officer reports directly to the Finance Manager and has sole responsibility for the payroll function. You will be responsible for an Australian and NZ payroll, circa 250 people combining wages & salaries. The company has the majority of people on wages in both countries and use Timetrak to capture hours. Monday through Wednesday you will be responsible for processing the respective payrolls whilst Thursday and Friday you can complete the administrative side of the payroll duties.
We are looking for a competent payroll officer, who is capable of taking full ownership of all the payrolls. The incumbent currently works 30 hours per week in this role, so your hours will be dependent on how quickly you are able to get through the workload, whether it be 30 to 40 hours. It would be a distinct advantage if you know both Australian and NZ legislation however you can learn Australia if you don't have that knowledge already. Any experience in Commacc will be desirable.
