My client is a $140M turnover business operating in both NZ & Australia. This company is based in the heart of Auckland and operates in the retail sector in an industry that is fast paced and dynamic. As part of a listed company, there is plenty of support from Head office.
You will be reporting to the Financial Accountant. You will be part of a team of 5 in the finance team. You will be responsible for entering invoices, scanning invoices, supplier reconciliations & preparing payment runs. The complication of this role comes in that you really need to understand the business as there are multiple cost centers, jobs & projects that the payables invoices need to be coded to. It will be your ability to understand the business that will enable you to succeed in this job.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with some accounts payable experience but ideally wanting to grow in their career. You will be hungry to learn new processes, be smart, analytical like to problem solve. You must be organized, have strong attention to detail and ultimately must have strong communication skills. This is an energetic environment that requires this person to get involved in the business, not merely sit processing invoices.
