Our client is a large well known company, looking for a senior payroll officer for a long term temporary role with potential to switch to a permanent position. Due to the company's reputation and the way they treat their staff, this organisation has minimal turnover and is looking for a staff member who can commit to a long term contract with potential to go perm in this newly created role.
You will be reporting to the CFO and have a close working relationship with the rest of the accounting team. To enable an effective payroll process, you will need to build strong relationships with the business managers and the team at large. As part of this role you will be assisting with new processes and the full processing of payroll for 500 staff.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for a hands-on individual, enjoys autonomy and wants to take ownership of the payroll area with excellent knowledge of payroll legislation as well as processing experience. You may even be looking for your first step into a senior payroll role. Most importantly though, you will be frequently liaising with the staff and managers so someone who has good communication and relationship-building skills is required.
Experience with large Payroll systems such as Chris 21, JDE, Affinity and SAP will be highly advantageous.
