My client is a large corporate organisation based in Mount Wellington with turnover well in excess of $180M. Operating in the service-based industry, this company provides a great service to many of us as individuals and has a well-known brand. Located in the Mount Wellington, close to public transport and easy access to all major motorways. Parking available on site and this role is a great opportunity for someone who has the ability to be hands on and take ownership of this role.
As procurement officer you will oversee the day to day tasks relating to purchasing support, providing ongoing training and development support to the purchasing administrator as required also Initiate and implement process improvement as necessary. You will work on pricing which includes negotiating with suppliers as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers to ensure positive outcomes for the company relating to service, supply and pricing.
To be considered for this role you will have at least 3 years procurement experience as well as a proven track record of taking ownership of your work and working autonomously. You will be highly organised with advanced Excel skills as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication is also very important
