My client is a privately-owned small business that operates a specialist events management business. The events they host are mostly centred around international/domestic sports events that can range from Rugby to Horse Racing. They operate in a high-profile sector and have the need for a newly created role of part time accounts person to assist the owner(s) with the accounting function.
The role of Accounts Assistant will report directly to on of the owners who will provide the support and take on the more technical accounting requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
To be considered for this role, we are looking for an experienced general accounts person who is competent to run the clerical finance function to enable the owner to be freed up for other things. You must be able to work 5 days and be able to commit to mornings (as opposed to working in the afternoon).
We are looking for a strong communicator; both written and oral. You will need to have strong excel capability and be able to work autonomously. The owner is often away travelling so your ability to run solo but communicate regularly is essential. This is a fast-paced business so someone with some energy and pace will do well. Additionally, an interest in sports will be beneficial. It is imperative you have strong attention to detail and are systematic in your approach.
