The role of Accounts and purchasing is a wide mix of duties. You will have full responsibility for the purchasing, stock control and purchase order system. You will need a solid understanding of the AP process even though you are not actively proceesing the invoices.
Additionally you will take on the purchasing function for the materials side of the business. You will need to liaise with key suppliers to optimize cost savings and reviewing contracts, obtain quotes and process orders as well as preparing reports on spending for the business managers
To be considered for this role we are looking for an individual who loves the Accounts function and has demonstrated an ability to work in a an autonomous role, really owning the function from start to finish. You must have had some experience in the purchasing/procurement function also. What is extremely important is that you take pride in your work, you are someone that will go the extra mile and from time to time. You will be dependable and have shown stability in your career to date.
