With large, modern offices based in the heart of Newmarket, my client specialise within the engineering consultancy area. The business is expanding due to the growth within the industry and they are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and is comfortable working in a fast paced industry.
As the Payroll Officer you will be reporting directly to the Accounting Operations Manager and working in a team of two. You will be responsible for processing payroll for up to 400 employees; some of which are on salary and some are on fortnightly time & attendance-based systems. Your responsibilities will include pulling data from the time and attendance system, processing leave deductions, dealing with collective agreements and assisting with other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
To be considered for this role, you must have proven experience in running a payroll of this size. You will have experience working with a wide range of diverse employment agreements and have an in-depth knowledge of payroll legislation. You will have strong attention to detail, ability to work at a manual level as well as being able to go through the changes of automation and an ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
