My client is a proudly kiwi owned business working in the business and personal services industry where they are a major player and a leading brand throughout New Zealand. Due to this companies reputation for excellent service delivery they are looking for someone with similar values to join their team.
As the payroll officer you will be reporting to the Accountant. The role will include a combination of Payroll and basic accounts with duties including:
- Manual time sheet processing
- Leave calculations and amendments
- Travel Allowances
- Reimbursement calculations
- PAYE Reconciliation and payday filing
- Assist with payroll system/process improvements
- Compiling reports for managers
- New starter set ups
- Assisting with Ad hoc tasks such as data entry, reconciliations etc
Because this is a sole charge role, payroll experience is crucial with good knowledge of legislation as well as manual processing experience. Attention to detail is also going to be very important with intermediate excel skills being very beneficial for reconciliation purposes.
