My client is a New Zealand owned/based company based in Penrose with an international presence, who have operations throughout North and South Island. They are a well-known brand within the FMCG industry and have a family culture even though they are huge players in the market.
The role of Payroll officer will report to the Payroll Manager & be responsible for paying around 700 staff with a 75/25 split between wages and salaries.
- Weekly payment.
- Managing the different sites and ensuring T&A data is accurately captured.
- Importing data from T&A system to the main payroll software.
- Making adjustments where necessary.
- Providing wage analysis reports to managers.
- Filing IRD/PAYE.
- Starters and terminations.
The complexity lies in the multi-site set up and the multi-collective agreements which this company operates within.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for a hands-on, payroll savvy individual who wants to take ownership of the payroll area. You will enjoy being in a sole charge payroll role - so someone who enjoys autonomy & ownership will love this environment. You must have proven experience in payroll, dealing with high volume and large Payroll systems as well as Time and Attendance system experience is essential.
