My client is a privately owned business which has seen strong growth & is adding this additional head to finance to provide more operational support to the GM. The company has operations across Asia, Australia & obviously NZ. It is a very down to earth Kiwi culture.
The role of Finance Manager is newly created due to growth. The role will report to the Group Financial Controller and be responsible for the entire NZ finance function. Your responsibilities will include taking ownership of the month end, staff management of two, Board reporting, tax compliance, getting involved with budgeting, and process improvement as well as partnering the GM adding commercial value around customer analysis, margin and product analysis.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who has experience managing a small finance team and is comfortable to partner the GM of the NZ operation. As the business is looking to add a bit more corporate efficiency within, you may have worked in a corporate but this is a very down to earth business so you need to be relatively relaxed but professional at the same time.
You will enjoy being hands on but also being involved in the business. My client is looking for someone who has some life experience under the belt & some maturity. Technically you will be proven in running a finance department and have relatively strong excel skills. It will be an advantage if you have stock experience. You must have strong excel skills.
