With a large office based in Ellerslie, this organisation has a strong brand name and continues to grow with operations throughout New Zealand, and Australia.
The role of an accounting clerk will be varied and challenging throughout the duration of the contract and no day will be the same. You will be assisting the Assistant Accountant and specifically dealing with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. For Accounts Payable you will be inputting and processing invoices into the system, coding and preparing payment batches for all company invoices. The main focus will be on the Accounts Receivable side where you will be dealing with the daily banking, allocating and receipting and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts. If you are capable then there will be more responsibilities available for you to handle. This is a varied role that will keep on your toes.
You will be comfortable dealing with large volumes and have excellent communication skills. You will have intermediate to advanced excel skills and be comfortable liaising with others in the business. You will enjoy working in a team environment and be able to take ownership of your responsibilities. You will be committed and passionate about progressing and enjoy working in a corporate environment and work within a close knit team.
