The organization is a long-standing, very well-respected Kiwi health care provider.
Based in Mount Wellington this organization has a reputable brand with a great team environment and beautiful offices.
As the Assistant Accountant you will be reporting directly to the Accounts Payable and General Ledger Accountant within a team of seven. Your responsibilities will include looking after multiple bank reconciliations which takes up the majority of your day. You will also be involved with month end and posting journals and dealing with general ledger reconciliations. You will also be processing all the payment runs for the team.
You will have at least 2- 3 years' experience working in a similar role. You will have a sound knowledge of Accounts Payable and experience working with GL and month end processing is preferred. You will have high attention to detail and be comfortable liaising with others within the organization so excellent communication skills are a must. You will have previous experience with high volumes, working with deadlines and will enjoy working within a team environment.
