My client is based in Mt Wellington and is a privately-owned NZ business that operates in the manufacturing / assembly sector, they have operations across New Zealand, Australia and US and are a well-known brand in their industry. The culture is tight knit, people socialise together and have a camaraderie in the team, where no job is too big or small. This a newly created role due to growth.
The role of Accounts Assistant will report a Transactional Services Manager in a transactional team of 3. The processes can be quite manual, however the business is moving to a new system as of 1st September, so you'll need to be able to work in both automated and paper-based environments. You will be trained on and have shared responsibility for:
- Accounts Receivable processing
- Credit Control (mostly via email)
- Accounts Payable Processing
- Other ad hoc duties as required
We are looking for and experienced Accounts person with al least 2 years' Accounts Payable and Receivable experience in a high-volume environment. You will be proactive, eager to learn and understand what it's like to work in a small team environment. You will enjoy working in a fast paced, complex environment and be able to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be down to earth, enjoy taking responsibility and have solid experience in a similar role.
