As the Desktop Support Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager as part of a team of 3 in the support team. This company has significant operations in both NZ and Australia - The majority of the NZ operations is hosted in the cloud with the cloud services provider giving some basic technical help.
You will be providing Level 1/2 technical support to both the NZ and Australian businesses and be responsible for investigating, diagnosing and rectifying network problems. You will also be providing reports on technical support services via service desk software and providing initial diagnosis of issues to Level 3 support functions. The complexity to this role is that you will be liaising with a lot of internal staff who are very non-technical people so you will need to be able to communicate well with people at all levels
You will have at least 1-2 years' experience in a role where you are providing Level 1/2 support, have excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with people around the country to resolve issues and most importantly, have a positive personality for this friendly and outgoing team.
