My client is an expanding business going from strength to strength. With the growth of the business, the finance team is growing and adding this additional head to the team. The business is a well known brand and provides goods and services right across the country.
The role of Accounts payable will be one of two in this area, both reporting to the Assistant Accountant. You will be well supported but have full responsibility for one entire company of the business whilst also aiding your counterpart who takes ownership of the other entity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing all supplier invoices and payments
- Reconcile creditors due for payment
- Ensuring invoices are coded and authorized as required
- Daily cashflow updates, and organizing funds transfers as appropriate
- Respond to vendor queries
- Assisting with other reconciliations in the wider finance team
- Relief reception
This role will suit someone looking for a team to be part of whilst still being able to take full responsibility in a full function Accounts payable role. You may not have performed full function but will be looking for that additional responsibility. What it imperative is your ability to communicate at all levels to a high standard - both written and verbally. You will be a problem solver, be able to multi-task and be organized whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
